Mitch Seavey coming into Unalakleet.  The lead dog seems to
be enjoying the view.

parking place in Unalakleet.

We got up at 4:30 this morning as someone had thought the first musher would be in before 6.  After looking at the computer we went back to bed.  Mitch Seavey was the first musher into Unalakleet and arrived at 10:13.  Aaron Burmeister arrived at 10:27.  Those two had been exchanging lead back and forth from Kaltag.  I would say there were a couple hundred people out to see them come in.  Mitch, being first, received the gold nuggets valued at $2500 for being the first musher to reach the Bering Sea.
